Grace Hudson Museum
The Museum's collections consist of more than 30,000 inter-related objects, with significant holdings of local Pomo Indian artifacts (particularly basketry) ethnographic field notes, unpublished manuscripts, historic photographs and the world's largest collection of Grace Hudson paintings.
Roots of Motive Power
Roots of Motive Power (Roots) preserves and restores steam- and diesel-powered equipment used in the California north coast logging industry from the 1850s to the present, located in Willits.
The Home of Mystery, Fun, and Family Entertainment since 1949. There is the World Famous Gravity House, the Redwood Shoe house, the Worlds Largest Free Standing Redwood Chainsaw Carving and the unique miniature Mountain Train Ride to enjoy.
Conserving the stories, artifacts, archives, and lives of the people and places of Mendocino County, in current exhibits, and enduring favorites: a "hippie" van, stagecoaches,The Creamery, Pomo baskets, Seabiscuit's friends,
and a great Museum Shop.

Montgomery Woods State Park
Half way between Mendocino and Ukiah, you will find ancient redwood groves in Montgomery Woods State Park, you'll find one of the TALLEST LIVING THING
in the world, (a redwood tree) is in this grove.

Or upstairs, in the very same place where the apple skins once flew through the shoot and into the creek so many years ago.

Nestled between the Anderson Valley and the Alexander Valley in Yorkville Highlands are the bucolic hillside vineyards of Maple Creek Winery. Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Symphony grapes are grown in their vineyard to make these wonderful Artevino wines.
Greenwood Ridge Vineyards

This State Park features 100 acres of virgin old-growth Redwood trees, family-friendly
swimming hole and the Navarro River runs through this park with camping and nature trails. Picnicking sites are located near the banks of the Navarro River in full view of Big Hendy Grove.
Ukiah Golf Course ~ 18 Holes

Admiral William Standley
At an elevation of 1,700 feet in the Coastal Range. It is located near the headwaters of the south fork of the Eel River. The park features redwoods and is a popular spot for salmon and steelhead fishing. The area is also a favorite place for hikers and picnickers. The park is North of Willits, 14 miles west of Laytonville on Branscomb Road.
Cow Mountain Recreational Areas
Located in the Mayacmas Mountains between Ukiah and Lakeport. South Cow Mountain offers 23,000 acres and 200 miles of vehicle roads and trails for off-highway vehicles, also horseback riding, camping, mountain biking, hiking. The adjacent North Cow Mountain Recreation Area, with 27,000 acres, offers many opportunities for non-motorized recreational activities.
City of 10,000 Buddhas
This international Buddhist community and monastery is one of the first Chinese Zen Buddhist temples in the U.S., with one of the largest Buddhist communities in the Western Hemisphere.
Situated in Talmage, occupies over 488 acres of meadows, orchards, and forests, of which only 80 acres are presently being used.
